A California judge has dismissed Proview’s lawsuit against Apple over the iPad trademark, it has been reported.
The Wall Street Journal reports that on May 4, Judge Mark Pierce in the Superior Court of the State of California in Santa Clara County approved Apple’s motion to dismiss the suit.
Proview first filed the complaint against Apple in the California court in February, as part of adispute between the two companies over the iPad trademark.

Researchers have noticed one of the first examples of Android “drive-by” malware from an ordinary website, a dangerous type of automatic attack more commonly used to infect Windows PCs.
Discovered by security company Lookout Mobile Security on a number of webistes, the decidedly odd ”NotCompatible” Trojan is distributed using a web page containing a hidden iFrame.

Facebook users are increasingly accessing the online social network via their mobile devices, a trend the company expects to capitalize on through advertising as it prepares for its IPO.

Google’s Mother’s Day doodle is cute and cuddly, a contrast to the story behind the holiday as explained on a link provided through the Internet search leader’s homepage.
Unlike some of Google’s doodles that are static art, this one is animated. If you hover your pointer over the doodle, you’ll see the message “Happy Mother’s Day!” and if you click on it Google takes you to a search results page for the holiday.

Embattled Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson has left the company, Yahoo announced Sunday, after more than a week of controversy over questions about embellishments to his resume.

Ross Levinsohn, who is the company’s head of global media, will serve as interim CEO while the board searches for a permanent replacement. Fred Amoroso has been named chairman of the board, Yahoo also announced. Those changes, are effective immediately.
